Some titles stay forever—like “sister.”

When my family dropped me off at the University of Kentucky in the fall of 2020, my mom gave me the best piece of advice I’ve ever received—you are who you surround yourself with. At the time, I didn’t fully understand just how much those words would shape my college experience. But looking back, I see it so clearly. Choosing Alpha Delta Pi meant surrounding myself with women who say your name in a room full of opportunity, who cheer the loudest for you in any crowd, who celebrate your wins as if they were their own, and who fix your crown without ever letting you know it was crooked.

I stepped into ADPi as a freshman, uncertain of what the next four years would hold. I left knowing I had become the best version of myself—because of the women who stood beside me every step of the way. The late nights in Room 204 of the Pi Palace, the long hours of spirit week that left us laughing until we cried, the quiet, everyday moments in 359 where friends turned into family—those moments weren’t just part of my college experience; they were the heart of it. From belting "Halo" at Mallard and Black Diamond to walking past the Miss Kentucky shelf, never imagining my picture would be up there one day, every memory is one I’d relive a thousand times over.

Many things fade after college, but ADPi isn’t one of them. The house became a home. The friends became a family. And the sisterhood? Well, that lasts forever.
